DreamAugur

About DreamAugur

DreamAugur is a place to make sense of the small signals of everyday life — your dreams, the day on the calendar, and the mood they create together.

What we do

We combine four old, human curiosities into one modern site: the dream you woke up thinking about, the perpetual calendar, the almanac tradition of daily guidance, and the sky above you. Our goal is not to predict the future but to help you reflect on the present with a little more curiosity and calm.

How we write our content

Every interpretation in our Dream Dictionary is written and reviewed by hand as original editorial content. We draw on widely documented themes in dream symbolism and common psychological readings, and we present them as starting points for reflection — never as fixed prophecy. We deliberately avoid fear-based or absolute claims. A dream means something different for everyone, and we say so on every page.

Our editorial standards

We hold our writing to a few firm principles, and you can hold us to them:

Who writes DreamAugur

Most of the dream entries here are written by Maya Ellison, who has kept a dream journal on and off for about fifteen years — long enough to fill a shelf of notebooks and to grow suspicious of any dictionary that hands you one tidy answer per symbol. She writes from that mix of folklore, a stack of well-thumbed Jung, and a lot of half-legible 3am notes. She is not a doctor or a psychic, and she will be the first to tell you so. The point isn’t to predict your future; it’s to help you notice what your own mind is already chewing on.

Have feedback, a correction, or a dream symbol you wish we covered? We genuinely want it — reach us on the contact page.

What we believe

We believe reflection is valuable, that superstition is best enjoyed lightly, and that real problems deserve real help. DreamAugur is for entertainment, curiosity, and self-understanding. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and we point that out wherever it matters.

Who we are

DreamAugur is an independent project built by a small team that loves the intersection of folklore, language, and everyday well-being. We are continually expanding the dictionary and improving the tools. If you have a suggestion or a dream symbol you would like us to cover, we would love to hear from you on our contact page.
